GdP Political Secretary makes a study visit to EuroCOP
(Luxembourg, January 23rd, 2007)

To get to know how the EuroCOP office works and is organised, that is the primary goal of the internship at EuroCOP, says the new intern Andreas Nowak.

Andreas Nowak normally works at the German Police Union's (GdP) Headquarters in Berlin as a political secretary, which he has been doing for the last 14 years.

However, being a busy man, he didn't have the time or opportunity to come to Luxembourg and experience the work of a European Police Union.

"I'm especially interested in the day-to-day running of business at the EuroCOP offices, since I am working with similar matters on a national level in Germany," Andreas Nowak explains.

The internship will last four days and take Andreas Nowak through organisational matters, structures, division of work and tasks.

"It makes it very interesting being here during a congress year. I would like to know how EuroCOP is preparing itself for its congress in November."

Andreas Nowak will also have the opportunity to take part of the first executive committee meeting of the year, where matters such as congress venue and upcoming public relations plans will be discussed.
