Over 3500 Portuguese police officers claim their rights
Over 3500 police officers took part of a demonstration in Lisbon on October 1st.
They claimed respect for their collective and individual rights by the Portuguese government.

Over 3500 Police Officers take to the streets in Lisbon to claim respect for their rights.
Police unions in Portugal are protesting in the centre of Lisbon today to mark their opposition against the failure of the Portuguese government to guarantee their collective and individual rights. They will be supported by representatives from EuroCOP and its member organisations.

Luxembourg. NSZZP Poland, LPTU Lithuania and VMHP Netherlands have joined EuroCOP. SINAPOL Portugal and NPS Bulgaria became full Members.

Final preparations for Congress were at the heart of this last meeting of the EuroCOP Committee ahead of Congress. EuroCOP also saw a significant enlargement with Police Unions from Poland. Lithuania and the Netherlands joining in. EuroCOP now represents 33 police staff organisations and Unions from 26 countries in Europe.

EuroCOP makes a mark at ETUC Congress
Presenting a resolution and officially being accepted as an Industry Federation Representative of the ETUC. Those were the major outcomes of EuroCOP’s first participation in an ETUC Congress in Seville, taking place on May 21st to May 24th.
